Youngest – 16×20 Pencil

Youngest – 16×20 Pencil. It has been a long time since the first two, but I finally got to the third drawing in the brother portrait series. When you are younger you don’t really appreciate how faces change over time. In fact you imagine that grownups have always looked the way they do. Our subconscious is programmed to innately understand differences in age without consciously understanding the mechanics. Often it takes firsthand experience watching those around us with the passage of time to better understand what we innately know.
