Butterfly Park – 30×24 Oil. The second painting in my butterfly series. Cresting the top of Moonshine Park I’m stopped in my tracks mesmerized by the butterflies delicately resting on wildflowers at the top of the meadow. The windless warm summer day sprawls out with Courthouse Mountain sleeping quietly in the distance. The serene silence blanketed by sunshine is only broken by my beating heart. It is moments like these that I feel compelled to capture in my paintings.
