Blue Pig Gallery
I am very happy to announce that I have been selected as a member artist for The Blue Pig Gallery. My original oils and prints will be continually on display at the Blue Pig throughout the year starting in late October. The Blue Pig Gallery, the largest privately owned gallery in the Grand Valley, is also moving in to a new and improved space just down the block this October. The new gallery will be located at the cross streets of 3rd and Main, at 101 West 3rd Street in the heart of downtown Palisade, Colorado. The expanded 3000 square foot gallery space boasts 12 foot ceilings, large windows, original tin-style ceilings and hardwood floors. The Blue Pig will continue as a collaborative art gallery, exhibiting a wide variety of media including painting, sculpture, photography, fiber, mixed media, glass, and more. |

Trail Commute – 36×24 Oil
Trail Commute – 36×24 Oil. This painting was inspired from a long weekend camping near Twin Lakes. Just outside of Twin Lakes the quiet morning set in as Shannon and Miles made their way to town and the trails. I couldn’t help but imagine juxtaposition between the calm of riding a bike with dog in tow to a trailhead and the usual morning work commute filled with cars, traffic, and stress. |

High Hope Meadow – 36×24 Oil
High Hope Meadow – 36×24 Oil. This painting was inspired by a serene high meadow just below Hope Pass at the very top of tree line. I often paint things I see while out running or biking, this one spoke to me from the quiet of high altitude. |

On by Spring – 20×16 Oil
On by Spring – 20×16 Oil. I ran past this blooming cactus this spring out my back door for about a week. Admiring it every time I passed before I decided I should capture it in a painting. It is amazing something so unwelcoming all year round, could for a brief moment open up a beautiful flower to welcome visitors. Then just like that it was gone. |

New Gallery
The gallery has been updated to work with phones and tablets that do not support Flash. Yes, I am looking at you Apple mobile products. It would be nice if Apple would play nice with Abode in this space. Let me know if you are having any issues, it seems to work fine on my iPhone and the browsers I’ve tested. Probably could have found something off the shelf but decided to write it using the YUI library.
