On by Spring – 20×16 Oil. I ran past this blooming cactus this spring out my back door for about a week. Admiring it every time I passed before I decided I should capture it in a painting. It is amazing something so unwelcoming all year round, could for a brief moment open up a beautiful flower to welcome visitors. Then just like that it was gone.
