Above the Fall – 36×24 Oil. The view from the rim of the Bookcliffs above Palisade is always amazing. In late fall the setting sun cast deep shadows across the valley with the trees in full color. The Colorado River reflected the darkening blue sky in a perfect arc across the valley. I stopped in my tracks to take in the feeling so I could relive it with a painting. After capturing that brief moment I was off again to find my way before it was too dark.
